Accident video from PDA event at Pocono

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/D...7B82294422.htm

(crossposted from Corvetteforum)
Ok there are tons of threads going on about this incident, but here is the video.
From what i have gathered the evo and the audi are both friends, and the Evo spun twice that day, PDA is saying that they missed one of his spins because PDA has the 2 spins and your done for the day rule.
At the end of the video when the music comes on that is when the instructor is yelling at the driver for stopping and for not pulling out of the way.

Be safe out there fellas.

Dumbest place to park cars for an open track event I have ever seen. No barriers or anything. Was only a matter of time before that happened. Morons organizing that imho.

WoW, I've never raced on a track and even I know not to pull over like that! Way to create another hazard and endanger the lives of yourself and the instructor.... I wish the vid wasn't ruined by that gay music, I want to hear the instructor rail on this idiot for blatantly ignoring her instructions and doing the exact opposite. Its amazing, you see her try to push the steering wheel back to the track and he just turns the other way. Capturing accident aftermath on tape is not worth endangering more lives...

Why were all those cars parked there? Looks like **** poor planning to me.

Whats with the video skip at 36 seconds in? Is that just a glitch or was something edited out?

I sincerely hope these idiots are banned from the track.

Yeah I saw this video at improvedtouring. Reminds me why I track a 20 year old car and not a new car. You never know what is going to happen at the track.

That is/was their staging area which is why the cars were there. The Evo driver wasn't the only idiot. The camera car disregarded his instructor and drove off the track towards the wreck. More of the camera car (an Audi S4 I believe):

Anyway, there's a large thread about it on the EliseTalk forum along with the female instructor from the camera car:

Looking at the pics, I beleive ther NSX belongs to a fellow past rx7club member. I may be mistaken, but I beleive that is his NSX, I know he attends track days there.

If I were the instructor and the student refused to pull around I would have been yelling so loud he'd have been scared shitless or I would have exited the car and got behind a barrier (assuming there was one close by). These types of situations are exactly what instructors are there for. If the driver so blatently disregards the instructions for our own saftey he sure as hell will never drive with me and I'd do my damndest to make certain he never drove with anyone else I knew either.

That's is the single stupidest thing I have ever seen. I would have been raging mad.

In case you guys don't skip over to read the other thread, the instructor did NOT want the Audi to pull over where he did, and once he did she instructed him to then drive to the right, across the grass, to the nearest part of pit lane. The driver refused because he was taping, and only then did the instructor see the camera.

If I was her and thinking quickly, I would have slapped my palm over that camera immediately, then scream at that moron.

Man this stuff is scary since I want to do a few HPDEs and I don't want to risk someone else wrecking my car. I guarantee you my insurance would only laugh.
