So is the pedal still soft when the car is off? (Sorry, I swear I read you say earlier it didn't matter if the car was running or not. But I don't see it now.)

 

we've resealed a couple ABS units, and they do get filled with crud, i'm not sure what it is, but everything gets coated in this black crud. i'm fuzzy on the FD system (we took the FC one further apart), and there are spots that are not always seeing brake fluid.

the FC system modulates the brakes by literally bleeding fluid off into a separate chamber, for each circuit (RF,LF, and R), these chambers are normally "dry"

the couple we've done have actually made a difference in the way the brakes feel/act

if you have done everything else, it might be worth a look

 

That would be great, I don't have the money unfortunately. I may end up buying your low mile ABS if you still have it.

I may just end up replacing the unit, I don't want to mess with the ABS unit itself, it makes me nervous.

Hmm, I would say that was it but I replaced the MC after the problem began and the same issue persisted after it as done.

first thing i did when started using it on track was pull out the ABS fuse. i hate it. ill do my own braking thank you very much.
