really nice project.

LOL! Overkill can easilly be fixed with some tape. Its not enough oil cooler that can be a major issue.

Great job so far... You need to change the name of your thread to, 94 RX-7 ROLLER COASTER Project Begins... ;) Six Flags is gonna have to pay you to give people rides in that thing... Keep the pics coming...

Amazing! Excellent work. There is some true craftsmanship here. Best of luck to ya in the upcoming season. Keep us updated on how everything comes together. And thankyou for sharing your build with all of us. Really, it's inspiration to all.

Could you let me know a little more about this FARAUSA series that you are running in. Im local and might be interested. I went to the website you posted, but it seems hard to find anything other than pictures of the directors rides.

They are having the secong meet about the series this sunday at the opa-locka Kart track. I think it may be around 3.00pm. Im not sure yet

Have any guess what car this is gonna weigh in at?
|
Question: those plates look like a 12A w/ the seal groves on the rotor housings rather than on the end-irons. What's up with that? :)
Looks absolutely beautiful, btw. -bill |

Ah, what I meant was: where are you going to pull cold air for the engine intake? May I suggest something like this:
http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o...tte-c6r-11.jpg They run restrictor plates, but you get the idea. Brake duct hose that runs to the front of the car. Also, you can see they use an air/water oil cooler behind the main radiator. Pretty slick. -ch |

I was just wondering the story on why they were were reversed, was he using 12A irons and where he got the 13B housings with the grooves in them. Where am I confused? All the 13B irons I have worked on have the grooves in them and flat sides on the rotor housings. -bill |
They are GSL-SE Housings. For the Rear Iron plate, we just double up the water jacket seal and use a new and a used o-ring for the outer seal. Works Fine. Carlos Uses it all the time.

Ahhh, GSL-SE housings. That makes sense. All the 13B blocks I've seen have been S4 or later.
Thanks for the clarification. You learn something new everyday! :D -bill |
