Are you able to mount the drivers seat in the stock location with that pedal box? What model is it? Just started a similar project ... about 12 months (on my timing) behind you. Thanks

Nice job, keep up the good work! What did you make the sunroof replacement panel out of? How is it held in place? Any close up pics? I'm looking to get rid of my roof and trying to get some ideas. tia-Garrett

gut welded tabs all the way around the top about 3 inches apart. then the plexiglass rest on there and is bolted. looks like a glass sinroof when bolted.

Your project is amazing. It must be really nice to have a body-in-white to work with. I'd love to strip mine down completely and have a clean slate to work on.

Nice work, looks really slick.

str8ryd 03-18-07 11:22 AM

What kind of oil coolers did you use? Was it a complete kit or did you fabricate the brackets and lines yourself? I'm trying to figure out which route to take. Thanks in advance.

Your car looks amazing :).

hyperion 03-18-07 11:36 AM

Where are you going to pull cold air? Hood vent?

-ch

rob20rx7 03-18-07 12:48 PM

as for the oil coolers, they are 2x 34 row oil coolers from earls. My friend makes the brackets and will hang them up, i will run the plumbing for them. we will design an airdam to completly catch all the air up the center and then it will escape up through the hood. if you go back to previous posts you will see pics of the hood im using. For now i dont think we will design anything for the oil coolers for catching air.

speedjunkie 03-18-07 02:05 PM

I'm not sure your oil coolers are big enough, HAHAHA. The build looks great. I'm honestly jealous.

Ah, what I meant was: where are you going to pull cold air for the engine intake? May I suggest something like this:

Attachment 719051

They run restrictor plates, but you get the idea. Brake duct hose that runs to the front of the car. Also, you can see they use an air/water oil cooler behind the main radiator. Pretty slick.

Very trick engine bay. I also noticed the oil cooler.

Fritz Flynn 03-19-07 08:38 AM

Those oil coolers might be overkill or maybe I'm just jealous lol ;)
