slonsho could not deliver after 2months

Ok guys,

I have waited and worked with slonsho on my polished parts for past 2-months and he couldn't deliver what he promised. I have paid him $850.00 for polished, LIM, UIM, TB, power steering bracket, water pump, water pump houseing.

slonsho wants everything paid through paypal and it is hard to get your money back from paypal. After he gets my money, it took 4weeks for me to get some of the parts from him even NC is next state. Long story short, when i finally received his polished parts, it is only about 30percent done.

I have saved all the PM emails to proove it. I didn't wanted to go this way but slonsho didn't give me any other option but to post it here on forums.

Slonsho are you going to make it right or should I just post all of PMs I received from you?

Alright, I've kept my mouth shut long enough. Why the **** do people keep buying from this *******? I mean, does this section of the forum not load for all the users? Maybe we should move this section to the very top. It's not like there's only 1 or 2 threads dealing with him. There are TENS. Always at least one or 2 on the front page, too. Always new and current fuckups relating to this guy.

I am all for giving someone a chance to get their **** together and change their ways, but I think by now it's evident that this guy is a grade A loser and can't conduct business with any semblance of professionalism.

DON'T BUY ANY OF THIS GUY'S ****, PEOPLE.

Seriously, why take the chance? Why have to ask yourself...will he do good on my transaction, or will mine be one of the clusterfucks that make the GG/BG section?

What does it take for you people to learn? I seriously think that some buyers say to themselves "ah, well he apparently screwed this other guy over, but it won't happen to me because I'm a nice guy, so I'll just send him my money anyway."

Not to say that it is alright for anyone to be dishonest or take your money in a scam or bad deal, but if buyers send their money to this guy then it is THEIR OWN DAMN FAULT IF IT GETS TAKEN.

Actually, not true. I was going to buy some parts from him, but once I checked the good guy/bad guy section, it convinced me to not buy from him.
You only hear from the people who get screwed, not the ones that never buy from him because of his reputation.

Too bad there isn't a way to have him banned from selling.

I bought a polished TB from him couple months ago and it was only 40% as well. Nothing on the side or bottom was polished, only the very top part.

Why would the bottom need to be polished anyway? Seriously.

It may not be, but if you're paying for it to be polished 100% and you get something that's polished 40%, you have a reason to bitch. That's like buying 4 new tires with 60% of the tread cut off.

Personally, I think if it can't be seen (like the bottom) it shouldn't be polished just because you're basically grinding off SO MUCH surface area that you're really reducing the heat transfer of the part, whatever it is. May not seem like a lot, but if the heat cannot transfer out of your part it stays in the part, which makes the overall engine hotter.

However, I'd specify that when I sent it off to him, and he would have to discount his price accordingly. These people got ripped off, and the more I hear about this guy the more I think he either needs to be banned from the for sale sections or a sticky needs to be made in this section with "repeat offenders"

Heat transfer? From a throttle body? What are you smoking man?

Thin metal retains less heat than thick metal. BUt it also gets heated up more easily than thick metal.

Look at the difference between a cast exhaust manifold and a thin exhaust pipe like an aftermarket downpipe. The downpipe heats up within 15 seconds of starting the engine, but it also cools down quite quickly after it is shut off. The cast manifold takes about a minute or more to heat up, but once it is hot it retains heat for a long, long time due to it's thickness. Thick metal acts like a heat sink.

Of course this is all a moot point...the price of rice in china has as much to do with how fast your car is as the heat retention of the throttlebody does.

EDIT: I agree about getting whatever you pay for, and about this guy being banned or something. But, if someone quotes you 100 bucks to polish a throttlebody, there's no reason to assume that the bottom of it is included in that price unless clearly stated or asked.

Well, I'm talking as a whole. The UIM, the LIM, TB, everything that you take off the little bumps. It all adds up. Maybe not a whole lot, but still. More surface area will take more heat off, no matter what. That's why crushed ice melts faster than a block.

slonsho's polish job is just bad. I can see the grooves in aluminum parts. Pretty much he put a buffer on flat surface and didn't bother to polish other areas. his polish finish is not chrome like finish. it is more like jet hot finish with lots high and low sports.

re:

Thanks, finally someone spoke up. He got upset when I told him that I am taking my pieces to a professional to get them done because I want it to look right....
