well let me just add my .02

I sold a guy a turbo once (this was years ago for a Starion) I bought it BRAND NEW in April, fired the car up and drove it in JUNE sold the turbo in SEPT

the car had UNDER 3K since the turbo was installed. this turbo had seen pressures from 8psi to 21psi and it was STOUT, no leaky seals, no shaft play NOTHING and I sold it after I pulled the engien in my car for 400.00 (I originally paid 750 or something crazy like that) and like 6 months later they guy decided it was time to install it on his new engine and he sent it to a turbo shop and they said it was completly wasted.. they said the turbo had to have had 20-30K on it that the wheels were broke, the seals were gone etc...

so the guy got back to me remember this was like 6 mo after the sale and said I sold him a bad turbo... now I had no reason to believe him or his story, he said it had sat since he got it and they just looked at it and it was junk....

I called the company that he sent it to and they told me something like this.

" the one outter seal is a little worn it would BENIFIT from a rebuild, and because they are taring it apart they recomend to have new wheels and a full rebalance done at the same time" so I told them that the turbo was NOT junk... he said no just a usual looking turbo with 10K or less on it.

after explaining the whole situation he THEN told me that he could tell this turbo had been on a car recently (in the last couple weeks) and that it has NOT been sitting for 6 months etc


needless to say the guy to this day is mad at me, he still told everyone on the forum I was on that I ripped him off EVEN with the proof from the turbo rebuilder...

sometimes u cant make everyone happy and thats the problem with buying USED items.. and why I normally wont sell used stuff...

I refunded the guy 150.00 for his trouble (more to get him off my back) and I will NEVER do anything like that again... I dont trust buyers or sellers much anymore UNLESS they can supply me with pictures... I normally wont buy anything used unless there are pics shoot sometimes I wont buy new stuff without pictures.. unless I am dealing with people I have talked to etc..

I am not calling anyone at fault but after this long it is time to give up IMO ALL buyers are responsible to check over the item they buy ASAP if that want to have any kind of say so or to expect any kind of refund etc.. if u wait anything over a month dont expect any refund...

The fact that James started this thread says something about the sort of service he expects from me. I'm good but not that good or maybe stupid would be a better word

 

Yep mr compression tester himself started that one lol.

Send a guy 3800 bucks for a great engine with great compression etc....

Ask repeatly if the engine is good after getting it and being WAY less than happy with the product. Then install it and it's blown.

The seller starts a thread about you called "hustle and flow"

That's your typical guy doing business on the internet and the reason I rarely buy stuff from anyone but friends and known good sellers.

 

Back from the dead. I started the thread to warn others that good person like you have a dark side too The only stupid person is me cause you sold me a POS turbo that you claim to be in good condition. As for the money I didn't ask for a refund or anything else cause I'm not money hungry like you.
