You bought the turbo a year ago.
The turbo was working fine. Boosting and not smoking when I shipped it.
I'd be a fool if I was to entertain any sort of refund or return.
I barely remember the transaction.
Hopefully the venting will be of benefit to you.
PEACE!

I did buy from you a few times and the items was like it described, it gets to that I trust your word and don't even bother checking. It bother me that you took the turbo out and sold it to me knowing the condition it was in. I guess all said and done I got the turbo and you got the money.

I took turbo to a turbo ashop today and they told me that it has been to extreme heat with too much shaft play. You told me the turbo was in good condition than why does it needs a rebuilt? As for a refund that didn't work out through pm so I'm just letting people know that you're not so great after all. I got to admit you got me pretty good, keep it up

Trust me the turbo is bad, I have 5 FD,3 FC TII and 2 drag turbo FB, I know what bad turbo looks like. I bought stuff from him too and it's what he described. He told me the turbo is in good condition I guess good enough to take my money?
If anybody want to buy it half price let me know?

If anybody want to buy it half price let me know?Cracks and other heat problems are easy to notice.
And as for shaft play, easy to check aswell.
Does the turbo shop knows what kind of EGT's every rotary engine produces? even stock ones?

This turbo was on my old track car, was working find and never saw more than 11 psi of boost.
I removed it because the manifold was cracked and I bought a new kit from Nate in CA that was a t76.
The only reason I bought a whole kit is because I couldn't find a manifold.
I really can't remember much about the way the turbo looked etc....or even what I sent with it.
I thought I sent a dp and wastegate and maybe some lines but again I don't remember this transaction very clearly.
My mechanic told me the turbo was fine and ONCE AGAIN IT WAS WORKING FINE WHEN I HAD IT.
I sold whatever it is I sold to you for 1k which is cheap even if it was just the turbo.
Now a year later you're telling me you don't think the turbo is good and want a refund.
GIVE ME A BREAK................I don't care if the turbo doesn't spin it's been A YEAR!!!

You me only the turbo my sneaking friend
Also it in the same condition when your so call mechanic took it out. Yes it's been one year cause I trust your word and didn't bother checking it. I already given you a break by buying a POS turbo from you. I just want members to be aware of you also cause good guys like you sometimes go BAD.
As for the turbo shop who checked it out. They have been in business for 27 years. They do a lot of reasearch work for companies with turbos. In fact, right now, they have a new type of turbo (virtually lagless) being patented.
The hot side of that turbo is cracked and where the hot side it divided, the edge has melted, there is also considerable shaft play. James's drag car has been in the shop getting chassis prep. The turbo was just now examined as it is time for the engine build.

I have to agree that this is silly after waiting a year. Who's to say James didn't go out and burn this turbo up over the last year and now he's hoping to get a free replacement? I'm not saying he did but it's just as plausible as suggesting you bought it and didn't look it over and wiggle the shaft, spin it etc. in a year. Goofy people.
Well, he already has a T04R, PT63, a GT40, T66, and T04B on his other cars/in the garage. So, he wasn't planning on using it any time soon, it was bought for a future project and sat in the box.
I'll gladly vouch for James saying he never ran this turbo. We live in the same town and I'm over there all of the time. The Rx-7's are toys that barely get any miles on them. He usually just drives his Toyota truck. It's only $1000, but I think James is in the right giving feedback on it. That is the purpose of good guy bad guy right?
Yeah, James should have looked at it, but the seller shouldn't sell a ruined turbo as a "used turbo" either. Thus, the feedback was neutral.

Sorry to hear that but the turbo was used (was working fine on my track car for 18 months) and I think I sold it fairly cheap.
So the turbo is used for tracking event, drag, autocross, drifting, etc? $1K for a bad cheap?
This turbo was on my old track car, was working find and never saw more than 11 psi of boost.
What kind of track car runs 11psi? Bracket racing?????
I removed it because the manifold was cracked and I bought a new kit from Nate in CA that was a t76.
Manifold cracked?? I wondering why?? Ebay manifold or good quality ones?
I leave this for the members to figure out. Best of luck!!

Was this the turbo on Brad Barber's old car? I doubt it was an ebay manifold. There wasn't a cheap part on that car. If it was Brad's old car yes, it did run 11psi and was blazing fast.
Just wondering what turbo.
Thanks

You can please some of the people some of the time but you just can't please all the people all of the time
Brad was from back in the day when I was active. I'll vouch for the fact he didn't go cheap on anything. He was worried about doing it right, not doing it cheap. If it came off of Brads car it wasn't cheap, that's for sure and it sure wasn't from Ebay : ). As for running 11psi. Brad didn't drag race and if I remember correctly he's from Texas so he was worried about heat and ran lower boost.
