Any info on RX7Resurrection????

about to buy a pfc and commander off of him and apparently he doesn't want to use paypal and would rather use money orders...... kind of sketchy in my opinion. Has anyone used him or know of him? He is from Georgia I believe.

be careful. i dont know this seller but i got burnt big time sending money via money order instead of paypal. you are always covered when you use paypal and your credit card but money order is dangerous.

There is zero info on this guy.

j/k. I've had many flawless transactions with him, so have a few hundred people here. There are a lot of us business owners who are getting sick of CC fraud, hence the reason for MO...

My mistake, I was referring to Landers. Read that title too quickly..

Rule #1 as a buyer:

Don't send a money order, unless you can afford to lose the money. That's like sending cash.

If he won't take paypal, don't buy the part from him.

maybe you could do COD or send the money to an honest forum member or mod who will hold it until you receive the part. like rich said, money order is just as dangerous as sending cash.

Sorry guys I didn't see this till someone recently told me about this. I have all the parts I posted and as I posted any one is welcome to pickup the parts if they are in or around georgia. Plus all the parts I am selling I bought either from someone from the board, or with Jason or Ray at the mazda dealership. But as I told fastyoungone I understand why someone might have a problem sending a money order. Well I currently have a few transactions pending I guess after they get their items I might become more trust worthy.

Some people dislike CC, I fail to see why people think its fishy when someone doesn't take PP. CC transactions aren't as safe as some people seem to think.

I guess Ill never be selling on this forum.

If I thought any seller dishonest I wouldn't buy anything from them no matter the payment form.

You have about a 1 in 10 chance of losing money when you send funds via check or money order. You might have a 1 in 100 chance of losing money when using a credit card. Sure, you can lose money just about any way you go, but the odds are significantly lower when using paypal/CC.

I personally will not sell to buyers that do not pay with paypal (unless we're talking about a part over $500, an engine, or a car) nor will I buy from sellers who do not use paypal. Part of it is the security, part of it is the convenience. I don't have time to dick around during business hours in the day, going to hunt down a money order, then an envelope and a stamp, wait a week for the buyer to get it (best case), wait a few days for them to ship my item, and then another week (best case) for my item to get to me. Using paypal over the computer cuts out about 2/3 of that wait time, and a lot of gas and effort in getting and mailing the money order and waiting for it to arrive.

Screw COD...

I could send you a box of dogshit and rocks and say its a T51r Turbo kit... and make you pay a fortune.

Not that I would ever do that though, lawls

I've been burned 3-4 times now using paypal, they have never refunded me any money and I've lost over $1300 from scams... tried to recover funds, never got them.

People open up paypal accounts, have people send money, withdraw, and close bank accounts before u know what hits you. It happens allll the time.

I won't send large amounts of money to anyone that has a paypal rating lower than 15.

If you see at least 5-10 successful transactions you're usually ok, but if I am going to send $1000+ to someone they need a good transaction history.

But you must admit that, if you fund your paypal account with a credit card, you have 2 layers of protection...2 teams of people that will work on your behalf to get your money back. Paypal will do what they can, and even if they can't help, your credit card issuer will.

If you send out a money order or check voluntarily, then you have no one to work on your behalf, no level of protection whatsoever. You might as well have pissed that money into the wind.

COD is a valid method for completing a transaction with an unproven seller. Though the delivery company will not give you the box until you pay, they should generally open it up and let you see what you are getting prior to paying if you ask nicely and explain the situation. I have went this route with a seller that had something I really wanted, but did not accept paypal and I was not willing to just send money orders to. I've never heard tell of anyone getting screwed this way.

We will never be doing business together, Im sure your heartbroken lol .

Ive probably had at least 15k in USPS money orders sent out for various things and have NEVER had a problem (Ebay, forum, etc). Lucky some might say but buying from reputable people is the key I believe. Ive lost several deals because I had a concern about the seller/buyer.

I agree about the time/ease element, can't argue that. I will say that your not unprotected when sending money orders, fraud is fraud and can be dealt with. I also dislike having to pay 3% to use my own money but thats a personal thing.

Just don't buy from unproven/shitty people is the lesson here I guess.
+1 for COD

If he has no reputation or cant prove it by showing you his paypal account information/ebay score or reputation with atleast one transaction forget it.
I never been scammed but I see and hear of it all the time.

^This from the man trying to make a $3500 sale on rx8club with hardly any posts on the forum.

I know, I was just messing with you. I know you can prove your identity on this forum and probably have good standing ebay and paypal accounts. I was just thinking it was ironic.
