.xls Datalogit WBO2 Log Data Program

Barry Bordes aka Lynn Bordes developed this Excel spreadsheet program to automatically tranform WBO2 log maps into INJ Map correction values necessary to attain the desired AFR values. Note - You may choose from several AFR target maps for "economy" or "power".

[Note the little red triangles on the "title" cells - they contain instructions.]

Here's how it works:

[1] Copy the 20x20 WBO2 log and paste it onto "Map Copy Watch". These AFR values are calculated through the "Target AFR Map" and show up in "Inj Map Correction" as the corrected values.

[2] Copy "Inj Map Correction" and paste onto Inj Map in FC_Edit.

[3] Click over to Base Map and do a Recalc Base. Watch the Base Map values change. Copy this corrected Base Map.

[4] Go back to .xls program. At the bottom, click Chart Folder 1. Paste FC_Edit Base Map onto this "Updated Base Map". Using the graph below, verify the values, ie. check to see the values are smooth and progressive. Click and drag the lines to change the cell values.

[5] If changes were made, then copy this map and paste it back into FC-Edit Base map.

The changes are gentle. One to several processed logs are necessary to achieve a good, safe result. Gather WBO2 log data as per the excellent "Wargasm" and the "Chuck and Kyle" documents, ie. throttle control and P-row highlighting to redline.

I left my work in the program to it can be followed to see how this works. You can "clear contents" of "New Corrections" and "Chart Folder 1 - 3" tabs at the bottom. You can add/delete new "cart folders", change the names on the tabs as necessary.

I probably use different P Row values, so check that and the AFRs.

Just stumbled upon this.
Does this still work well?
Looks like a nice setup. I'm interested in the "Richer/Power" AFR's

Thanks

My copies work fine.

As for your question; it is easy to download and test it out yourself with fake data to verify that it does work as advertised. After all it is only simple math ratios that are taught in high school.

The AFR targets are for you to change as you think are needed for your setup.

Thanks Chuck,
I am interested in some good "Target" AFR charts for a GT35R car and some more documents like the one above.
Does stuff like this come with your notes?

Yes this and more come with my notes.

Barry's worksheet presumes that people understand math.

You must use this with a map that has been "RECACLED" before applying the changes otherwise tha changes will be wrong as total fuel used is a combination
of FUEL CORRECTION x BASE FUEL x INJ ADJUST (which I never use).
This is also explained in my notes.

I just copied and tested it, and my own versions. They all work fine.

That means something on your computer is hosed!

Nice to see this old thread started by Mark. GOD Bless you big guy! May you rest in peace.

Hey Chuck,

These are my targets presently. We all use slightly different ones. Chuck runs his leaner for better mileage, experiment to see which ones work best for you.

Notice in this example only the boost rows are being modified.

Barry

Barry was mainly referring to my cruise AFRs as my boost AFRs are only slightly leaner.
I cruise around 16 - 16.5 AFR.

Excel 2007 sucks!!! It will not allow you to drag the data points on the graph to smooth it out... So picky with changing each cell. Sorry, had to vent. Anyone know a way to fix it or do I have to download excel 97?

I don't know. I think Bill Gates wants us to update to a later version. The older version works great.
