seems conservative to me
mine hits 100 c all the time. Just making it tothe top of the Santa Cruz mountains will raise my temps to about 104 or so. I've got a radiator upgrade. After I shut off the car and restart it like 10-15 minutes later, the p-fc frequently reads 120-130C. I've been worrying about this all sumer but it's not dead yet and it uses no coolant.

I have all the so called reliability mods and the koyo. My temps reach 95 on a cool day and over 106 on a hot day. and your right, when you stop your car it will go up to 125 C which is bad. I believe that most of the damage to the car is done when the car is turned off. You have two options, I use them both. When I get home for the day I don't boost for the last 2 mintues of driving, then I idle for 30 seconds. Every time, without fail I open my hood to help it cool sooner. Now the best thing I have found is this industrial fan I bought at homedepot. I set it directly on my engine (above the airbox) and run it on high. Its a 30 inch fan. When I do this, the temps do NOT increase from what you stopped the car at, they will set at that # for about 3 minutes and decline. within 10 minutes I am at 75 C. If you don't want to go to extremes I found that once you stop your car, after about 3 mintues when your temps rise and hit the high temps, if I start my car, it will cool down real good, sometimes to high 80's and not go back up to the 120's. I may be extreme but Hey..it works for me.
