It's the standard O2 sensor size. Not sure what it is, but I believe they are all the same. I have had several put in by muffler sops and was never asked what size I wanted, but they all worked.

Depends if the sensor is a self heating sensor or not.
Self hearting, anywhere. Otherwise in downpipe.

Innovatemotorsports has the bungs and bung plugs to install into the DP. When I replaced mine I could not find anything at a hardware store that would work. When I called them (Innovate) they said it was a "pipe fitting" and the thread was tapered? Go figure. Anyways heres the link to buy more. Expensive yes.

I mounted my 02 sensor about 4 inches down the DP. I placed it down the pipe a ways to avoid excessive heat.

Good Luck.

Mine installed at the end of the DP closest to the MP Flange.

it needs to be installed somewhere that is easy to reach but won't burn the wire. my wideband bung is welded on the drivers side of the DP pretty near where it turns under the car. that way the wire can come straight up thru the engine bay and not get singed by touching anything.

I believe reading somewhere that you have the plx m-300 wideband. is your bung welded in your downpipe or mp/hi-flo? also is the sensor they supply self heating? i know i have a bung in my high flow, but im not sure about the downpipe.

Thanks

I had a bung added to my downpipe - just marked on the pipe where the sensor should go and took it to a local muffler shop. Told them to install an O2 bung on the spot I marked - he had the bung in stock, welded it on, and gave me a plug to put in it until I get my wideband. Did it while I waited, cost like $20 if that.

Most any muffler shop worth their salt will have those bungs in stock - this is SUPER easy for these guys.

My question is whether it needs to be in the downpipe. I have a bung in my high-flow , before the cat and was wondering if that will suffice. Thanks for the response though.
