Injector Qs?

Ok, newbie here,

what are the standard injector sizes?

What is process to go to different injector sizes? Can you just buy them and install? Do you need a new fuel rail? Any hints on the install? Should i change out the sparks?

I need a tuner in Nor cal for my PFC any recommendations?

I have BNR stage 3s running in seq, down pipe, RB catback, rotory extreme V-mount w/ cold air intake, all accesories but on an underdrive pulley. Motor is stock at 55k miles on it.

Stock injectors are 550 pri. and 850 sec.

The most common upgrade is either drop in 1200/1300's or an upgrade kit including rails to 1680's.

Might be worth fitting a fuel pressure regulator. This is a normal upgrade with a pump.

To own and work on these cars you MUST get a copy of the Mazda manuals.
The URL to their location is on this site.

I have the manauls but work away from my home so don't always have access to them.

Any reason i shouldn't go with the 1300s? I am guessing there is no reason to change the primaries?

Who sells the secodaries? Anything to know about the install?

I just got the Nip fuel pump from Gotham.

Should i get the secondaries installed before i install my PFC? i.e. will it make all the 'learning' easier to do it once?

Large primaries make it more difficult for idle and cruise tuning. Only needed for very high HP engines.

RC bores out stock 850 to 1200. 1300 have had failure problems while 1200 are safe.

550/1200 good for 450 at flywheel.

550/1600 made 425whp for me with some room to spare, 450 should be no problem
