Went Single, need some help.

Just curious, I will be getting to the dyno in the next few weeks. I just want to know if there are some hints I could use to limp the car to the dyno to get tuned. Any specific settings or anything? Thanks, any info would be awesome.

I assume you read this:

Others will have more.

Good Luck.

I absolutely did, and I must say there is some extremely helpful info in there, definately should be a sticky. Trust me, I've learned my lesson over 300 posts to search first! I was just wondering if there were some must do's before limping it to the dyno.

Well, I still haven't learned mine and was just trying to help. I've been flamed too many times for telling people to search. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Go figure.

Good Luck.

I was really paranoid about this too when I got my single. All I ever heard was how if you ran too lean, you'd pop your engine. Wellll, that's not entirely true. You can run lean and still be ok, as long as you're not boosting at all and you're not under too much load. So the bottom line is to turn your boost controller as far down as it will go and just change your driving style so that you don't boost at all on the way there. Your cruise maps will still be pretty much right if you only switched your turbo.

Once at the dyno, you might want to dial in some extra fuel until you determine that everything's plenty rich, and then slowly lean it out as you look at the numbers. Good luck and enjoy that new turbo!

x605ps: I wasn't trying to be rude at all, I apologize if it seemed that way. I just see people telling everyone to search all the time, so I figured I would give it a try. Thanks for the help though, take care!!
