Hello guys,i own a used power fc for fc (89-91) remanufactured from ap enginearing.i haven't install it yet.i wonder if i reset it (because it is used)it returns to fc settings or fd?because as you all now it is a fd remanufactured ecu....and do i need the commander for that?because the seller hasn't sent it yet......

The AP Engineering models are kind of a grey area, not a lot is known about them. In theory, if you do a reset with the commander, you'll be OK - I believe AP Engineering actually put a new ROM into the PowerFC. But, you'll have to realize not many people have them and not many know about them.

You will need the commander to reset the PFC, I did not see it in the pic. So just in case you were wondering you cannot reset it by disconnecting the battery and stepping on the brake.

If you have the commander, just check the injector settings and map sensor settings, if they match what you are using then you will at least be able to start the car.

 

i don't have the commander yet...the seller is waiting it from apexi....but i'm waiting over a month.....where else can i found a f.......k commander?
