Someone told me there are a differance between us and jdm power fc , true or not?

 

USA - 90 Day warranty. English booklet
Japan - No warranty outside of Japan. Buying as is and Japanese booklet

That is the only difference I can think of at the moment. I bought mine new from Japan because it was $1000 shipped with the new LED EL commander. Surprisingly I paid no tax or duty upon arrival even with the price fully disclosed. I don't know how prices compare today since I bought mine a year ago.

 

Hardware wise they are the same units. I believe there are a few SR Motorsports editions that have the 4 pins removed already for US cars. My buddy has an SR Motorsports edition but I never bothered to look at the pins.

 

Removing the 4 pins does not make it an "edition", it was not something done at Apexi for SR. I usually just remove the 4 pins also when installing the PFC in FDs at the shop, this way the customer truly can just put the stock ECU back in without having to mess with reconnecting any wires.
