tune for fuel cut

I just installed my PFC and I am having some fuel cut under full throttle. I tried uping the boost/duty levels a little and it seemed to help, is this right?

Check the 4 wires, it sounds like you cut the wrong one... Just a hunch. I've had many many problems that I thought were very complex and it turned out to be something rediculously simple. just check them again...

I just recently installed my midpipe (Pettit res), that is when the fuel cut started. Mine runs great otherwise, just at WOT about 5g is when the cut hits. Otherwise at normal acceleration the fuel cut is non existant.

Mine has the following mods:
street port
apexi intake
cat back
DP
Y-pipe
IC Greddy stock mount
stock twin (Pettit hybrid sequential)
PFC w/ comm.

rotorhead333,

I found out how to tune it. Your going to need to lower the boost duty numbers in the boost section. Basicly set the kg/cm2 for what kind of boost your looking to push. Then for the boost duty % just give it 6% for every .10 kg/cm2. If you still get fuel cut after that then just drop the duty down a little. In colder weather you might see it cut again, just drop the % down one or two more notchs.

Question

So if my Boost Pressure is as below, should i adjust the base duty to these settings:
Primary Turbo .80kg/cm2 48%
Secondry Turbo .70kg/cm2 42%
Am I correct ???

If you want those numbers and your still seeing fuel cut then lower the duty. If you dont get enough boost for those numbers then raise the duty.

It goes into a little more detail at the bottom of this page:

Don't forget that the boost setting is the basis of your boost limiter in the PowerFC. There is a boost cut at 0.25kg/cm2 over your target boost setting. For example, if your target boost setting is at 1.0kg/cm2, then the engine will fuel cut at 1.25kg/cm2. You'll want to set your target boost high enough to cover a boost spike.

XS power, So.. I was hitting fuel cut at 5000rpm w/
set 1 - PR--0.80kg/cm2 56%
SC--0.70kg/cm2 64%
And no spike, obviously because of fuel cut.
Then, set it to:
set2 - PR--0.90kg/cm2 62%
SC--0.80kg/cm2 70%

What's happening now is, my boost is running 14psi WOT but,, On a test, I held throttle at 10psi (not WOT), I hit a spike. Does this mean, that if I would have put it WOT to 14psi it may spike higher yet, maybe 16psi, or will the pills limit this?? (note:I am running hybrid sequential twins) Do I need to adjust for this? For example lower my duty cycle enough to not hit fuel cut, and low enough to not hit a 14psi +spike take care of both matters? Find a happy medium if you will..?? I would love to adjust it out, without having to add more back pressure to stop the spiking.
I'm just looking for a solution to have no spike and no fuel cut and run @14psi. Sorry to sound like a dumbass, but I like to learn by other peoples mistakes, and not make them myself if it can be prevented. I don't feel like pulling the pin on the rotary bomb, if you get my drift..
Thanks for the help!
