Mailing in to XS for programming
What results can I expect? I know lots of guys with my mods running the PFC base maps with just some fuel taken out. I guess my question is for those of you that have mailed your PFC in to XS, what power gains did you observe on dyno. and what mods do you have. I am particularly interested in results from non-ported engines. Is it worth the 150 bucks. Unfortuneatly I haev no tuners in driving distance.

Well, I sent mine to xs for tuning xs a few months ago for the same mods as you and feel it was worth the $$$. One thing I REALLY like is the fans. I had them adjust my fans to kick on at 87C and it works AWSOME!!!!! I dont have to worry about watching temps and fliping switches, the fan adjustment is great.
As for the tuning, my car ran nice and smooth, but its hard for me to comment on the power. I had them turn the boost up to 14psi so I dont know how much of the extra power came from tuning versus more boost. They say the map they use is supposed to be a base map and you should still fine tune it a little. They use a dyno tuned map that was very fine tuned for a particular car in particular conditions with different brands of mods so it wont be perfect for everyones car. They take that map adjust it to be more conservative so it will be safe on everyones car regaurdless of mods brand names and weather. The map is still close and you'll probably be happy with it.
I liked it good enough that when I added a streetport and larger injectors/pump I sent it back to them again for remapping.
I think its well worth it, dont forget to have them adjust the cooling fan temps!!!!!!
Good Luck,
STEPHEN

It normally takes 2 days. I needed mine quick so I overnighted it to them on a mon, they got it tues morn and sent it out tues afternoon so I had it wed morn.
Tell them you in a hurry and it seems like they can do it same day. Maybe they were just slow with nothing to do when I sent mine.
Good luck,
STEPHEN
