Unhappy try tune it my self

I know its a bit risky but im going to tune my car my self. because in malta we dont have tuners for rx7s they only do the easy work rebuilds eheheh. i recently rebuild my motor with 3 mm one piece apex seals and street ported it, dp, mp, trust cb, twin cone filters, Apexi power fc, greddy air-fuel meter and lambda. I dicided to tune it my self i dont have a dyno but i can use the road. i already inputed a map of this forum and it reduced the hesitation i had from 2-3 rpm, but its still knocking like hell (130 knock). i just wanted to ask for those who want to help me out. to tune ing leading and trealing do i leave the same amount of advance or reatard bitween the maps (SPLIT is the proper word i think) ? or there isnt need too? with the fuel map i can add fuel on boost and load and retard ing maps on boost and load, can i use my greddy air-fuel ratio gauge to tune?

Am i right if so tell me because i need your help i just need a safe map so that i can drive my car????? thanks to all who help in advance, and by the way 90 octane fuel that helps alot eh?

Why don't you just ship your car here in Cyprus we have a guy that tunes PFC on rotaries and he is good. He tuned for many guys in Greece and cyprus, shiping charges will not be much since you are nearby and also time for come and go.

He doesn't have a website but he is one of the most famous mechanics here and yes he has good tuning history on rotaries. He tuned about 9-10 most of them single turbo RX7's and they run just fine. None of them broke yet and he started on 7's years ago. He is very reputable in Cyprus and Greece. If you want i can give you his name and tel number.

Good News!!!

If you are interested just before march where the Cyprus Drag races are taking place a reputable shop here will bring a guy from Apexi for several days to have us all tuned. He is the guy who tuned Yuichi Imamura's Apexi Drift FD. They will charge about 300dollars for tuning on a dyno with the original software by Apexi not datalogit with wideband and everything. If you want just put a base map to have the car running and bring it here within these days to get fine tuned by a real Guru
