Question Trailing & Leading plug oopsie

I'm a newb when it comes to rotary engines. I am. I just realized how much of an actual NEWB I really am. This being my first rotary I bought it, did my own tune up, and have been driving around enjoying the hell out of myself.

It hasn't been until recently that I sat down with a Hayne's manual and poured over all the mechanical nuances of my FC3S.

I just came to the realization, with a flashlight in one hand and a rag in the other, ( to clean off dirt from the markings on the plugs) that I have both leading plugs in the front rotor housing, and both trailing plugs in the other.

My question is this, (after correcting my error) what damage did I do to the engine putting the plugs in the wrong holes and driving it around like that for a year? Or what huge problem was I lucky enough in avoiding up till now?

Thanks!
-Landon

So you were running all 9's heat range plugs?

Read this:

You should be just fine. If you have a fairly stock car I would switch back to the 7's and 9's. Plus I think you're in the wrong section for the 2nd gen.

Try here for the second gen:

Remember,

Trailing = T = Top
Leading = L = Lower

I wouldn't worry to much about it, but I would get them in the right holes ASAP. Just remember where your plug wires go.

When I got my car last summer it had two 7's in the front rotor and two 9's in the rear. I replaced them, with 7's and 9's in the right spots, and haven't had any problems. I plan on going all 9's before long since I've done a few mods since then.

Was there any noticable change in performance when you corrected the problem Spic?

I really can't say because I changed them out within a week of when I go the car(I went ahead and changed basically everything that needs changing on a used car before I drove it very hard), but if I remember right it seemed to run a little smoother, but that was probably from just new plugs.
