Reading Sparkplugs

Sorry no pics, but pulled my plugs to switch the stock ones for the r6725-10.5s, Im trying to keep my light cruise AFR's in the low 14's and my car likes to idle around 12.5:1. Also I have an MSD 6A on the leading plugs only.

Pulled my plugs today and the leadings were darker brown, IMO slightly rich (been dialing my AFR's in on them so im not suprised) and my trailings were looking a nice light brown slightly whiteish, IMO looks about right.

Is it normail for the leadings and trailings to be a little different in color?

YES, trailings should always be lighter. Your cruise AFRs are too rich.
After cruising, your plugs should be cleaner like mine which are 10s.

it's harder to read plugs the longer you have them installed on the vehicle.

Thanks, Was mostly worried about the color difference. Never read plugs in a rotary before. Oh the plugs might have 600 miles on them most of that time with a VERY rich tune.

Leaned things out to about 15.5:1 light cruise and the car seems to like it. if i go much leaner some serious bucking happens.
