Power FC PFC models
PFC models
Hey guys. you've all been helpful to me in the past, so here goes with another query, this tim for all the PFC gurus out there.
You can see from my sig I have a 1992 (guessing, no build plate) JDM RHD FD.
I have come across a guy who is selling a PFC secondhand. The ad states it's for a 1996-1999.
How do I interpret the numbers on the box to find out exactly what model / version it's for?

It's cheap and it's what I'm after, can I make it fit my car? Is it only the plugs that are different?
Thanks guys, any help is much appreciated.

Has anyone ever changed their plugs to the later model? Could I do this?
Just that this unit is VERY cheap, I can get it for US$400.
As painstaking as it would be, I wouldn't mind changing the plug configurations over if the fundamental PFC is the same......does it use the same sensors, pinouts, maps...........anyone?

$700 US, where?
The cheapest I have been able to find in Australia is $1200 US with a warranty.
Is the warranty worth worrying about? or should I just get a cheap new unit off ebay?
Just looking for opinions if you were in my shoes guys......taa....

I'll sell you mine for $1000 if you're desperate, only idled/ low load corrected the car and thermos modded to switch on @ 85.
Realistically, why not wait a few weeks, think that is when DaiOni and other vendors suggest the supply pipeline switchs back on.
