Pwr FC Memory Loss, Please HELP!

My '94 FD was working like a charm and being used everyday. It had a commander connected at all times. One hot and sunny afternoon I started it and it shut down right after it started. Come to realize after a while and noticing the comm. display had some misplaced numbers (spreaded outside the screen) that the FC program got messed up. I got it back to normal and the engine started and ran fine but everytime the car is restarted the FC looses the program or at least part of it even w. the commander removed. Any suggestions or recommendentions will be highly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Check that the Commander to PFC connector is tight.

Disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes, pull the connectors, check the pins for being pushed into the connectors, fix any pins, reconnect everything. See if this clears out the problem.

If not: write down all the screens data, do a re-init, recheck/reenter data. Easier if you have a DATALOGIT to download all the data for safe keeping.

If still messed up then the unit is hosed.

Thanks much! I'll try that when I get to the car (it's stored else where). But I'm still afraid the FC is messed up. I appreciate it.
