Hi from russia!
Thanks on manual!
I bought screen on ali for test White screen now I ordered a screen from America crystalforz,I would like to see if there is a difference, I wait when I get the answer, because the delivery is very expensive
P.S.! when buying screen, be careful : Screen Black on white - all screens in driver ks0108 *B* ,
to make it work it is necessary to solder on the resistance display itself, a lot of rework.
that display that on the photo white on black above is ks0108 * A * - I did everything on , 18 pin off, and 2&3 pin resistor in my case 380 Om
My PFC commander screen has gone out, so I'm glad the information has been provided on this forum. However, My controller is an FCC4. I'm going to go ahead and order the display and hope I'll be able to make it work with the success you guys have had,.I have a 93 MR2 Turbo. 3SGTE
Does anyone have a link to an oled display? Mine is now just about too dark to read. Worked fine before I parked it for winter... Now I can't read it.
It does not seem to exist yet. Dedicated OLEDs are discontinued and can not be obtained. So I have tried many things. But it does not work well I changed to another OLED and the screen was reversed.
This really sucks! I parked my car for the winter, and just pulled it out this weekend to find that my screen is now so dim you cant even read it at all. It worked perfectly before I stopped driving the car in November.
Well I believe I found the part number for the OLED display in the images located on the old Ebay listing (no longer available to purchase, I even messaged the seller and tehy dont have access to more).
RiTdisplay P19701
I still haven't been able to find any for sale, even with the part number...
Apex'i is unwilling to help so far, unless I pay them $120 and give them over a month to repair it. Pretty ridiculous considering how many people are having this issue. I even came across another a forum (not car related) with people having the exact same issues on a high end multimeter with the same display as the OLED commander. Seems it is a known bad screen.
I ended up buying an old lcd one for like 20 bucks cause the guy got an oled and just had it sitting, so im gonna have my friend change the screen to blue to match my gauges.
Not sure what ill do with my oled one, maybe just sell it for a couple bucks or give it to my friend so he can mess with it and see if he can fit another colored screen or maybe he knows where to find an oled screen for it since he is all into that.
I wasn't able to repair mine. I had a solder pad come off. So that's that. I need to find an alternative because I'll be damned if I buy another one of Apexi's (guaranteed to fail) commanders or any product of theirs.
I do appreciate the write up. Thanks!

Do you have a link to the OLED display that ended up being reversed?
Hi guys, thanks to this thread i was able to change. the lcd on my fc commander. Contrast all is good, FCC version with no resistor. One problem though the image shown are left to right and right to left. Anyone knows what is the problem here?

Another successful data point. Used a 330 ohm resistor and tweaked the result with the Commander. I can even see it with the sun in my face - what an improvement.
I started offering LCD replacement as a service on various facebook pages, did around 15 so far and everybody is pleased with them! Should i make a post here to offer the service? Would anybody be interested?
