I am just about done with gathering all the parts needed to drop my engine in. I have decided to go NS twins. I know nothing about ecu/ems. SO, with that said which ecu should i go with. i have the opportunity to pick up the wolf 3d for $400 vs the power fc price of roughly 750... Can i even run the wolf 3d with NS twins??? i thought i read somewhere that i could not...

 

NS twins is the same as running a single turbo, you can run any engine management you want. If you go to the wolf section of this forum you will find there is not a lot of support for it. The PFC is pretty much the standard EMS for the FD, and anyone that tunes FDs will be familiar with it. Not to mention there is a ton of support on the forums if you feel you want to try your hand at tuning.

 

Ok so now the question is... Can I mess around with tuning the wolf by myself... Or would it be better just to spend the 400 more for the power fc

 

Either engine management system will blow your engine if tuned wrong. So it comes down to your ability to learn an EMS system and software.

 

Which Wolf system are you referring to? Wold shows all of the 3D systems to be discontinued. I wouldnt buy and use an ECU that is not currently being sold new anymore.
