Power FC tuning in Nor Cal
Anyone know of a good tuner in northern california for the Apex Power FC. I know I know I know about steve kahn. It would be a dream come true for him to fly out just to tune my FD but thats pretty $$$$. Suggestions please and thank you.
wassup,
i got my single turbo FD tuned at Dyno Spot Racing in San Jose. At first i was kinda scared of letting them tune my FD cause they werent a power fc excell dealer, but they said they can basically tune any car if it was running. I only had two runs on the dyno because I had a bad boost controller. I wanted to boost 19 psi but could only boost 8. My baseline run and the tuned 8 psi was a huge different in the mid range area. The graph was very nice and smooth not like some of the dyno graphs seen on the forums. Lawrence at DSR was very professional and knowledgable. Price is 185.00/hr and well worth it, but make sure your car is running well tho.

I'm not sure where Los Gatos is.. i KNOW where it is techincally... but i mean i don't know if its more south or more north of where i live... well anyways theres ricks rotary in pleasanton. They street tune and are very good with PFC's. And there's SR motorsports in brentwood, they dyno tune and all they sell are PFC's... they also have this speacial... If you buy the PFC from them... the tuning comes with it AND you get a free T shirt
haha. Thats where I'm going to buy my PFC a week from now. Having an 8 second rx7 with stock twins is something that proves they know how to tune. www.shaneracing.com

You should do a search on the SR PFC tuning on this forum before you buy from them. hint hint.
BTW, they didn't run 8's with stock twins, no one will ever do. And their race car has no PFC.
