power fc tps voltage issue

i'm having issues with the TPS readings, both VTA1and VTA2 are between 4 and 5 volts at closed throttle and is highlighted on the commander sensor check. i removed the thermo wax rod etc.
i have tried two different Power fc's. Same readings. i removed/readjusted the TPS, same issues.
The car starts and idles fine, however will not rev past 3k rpms, whats mind boggling is when i swap back in the stock ecu, everything works.
i'm looking for another TPS at this moment, any ideas is gladly appreciated.

All four grounds are connected.

Usually a constant high voltage like that means the wiring is cut or broken somewhere.

You have to test to determine if the TPS or wiring is bad. Look at the Section F TPS wiring in the service manual.
You can insert needles or pins between the wires and the weather seals to measure the voltage coming into the TPS, the ground, and the output voltages.

Or take it out, measure if 5 volts is at the source pin, and measure the two variable resistor for resistance change as the unit is rotated.

Thank you Chuck, i will definitely measure the tps with a dmm. what is puzzling is that the engine runs fine with the stock ecu.

i got a used one from r0t0rhead (Rotorsports racing). Swapped it in, all is fine now.
Summit racing has the standard motor Th201 for $217. I believe that this is the only available alternative right now.
