Ok i was just making sure i understood correctly. that means adding the launch limiter isn't too hard, but the launch limiter would use a fuel cut rather then ignition cut.. Correct? At least until you have a better understanding and then "maybe" the limiter can be changed from fuel to ignition?

Obviously I'm not looking for a free copy, you would get money. If possible you could even offer the copies on supra owners, and potentially make a fair bit of money. I'm not sure what the cpu would cost from AP or Apexi who ever it would be to get this from. I'll do most of the leg work if we could work something out with this. If not I'll just stop wasting my time on this.

I first need a working simulation environment where I can simulate a run (sensor values) and then monitor the outputs. I need some equipment for this which has some weeks lead time so I can't start doing this before end of May.

a) They only work with the old style PFCs with socketed processor which only a few have.
b) I would have to get a hold on a FC Pro CPU for the model.
c) It is not possible to get a programmer for the old processors anymore. You don't even find any information about the series on the NEC website anymore. But I just bought an old book about development for the series where the author talks about programming them with the quick-pulse algorithm. So it might be possible with equipment I have but I have to make a custom adapter.
d) I'm not sure whether you can even read the content of the old CPUs.
e) The CPU isn't produced by NEC since a few years. But I found some on the list of suppliers from China, but each CPU would cost $50+.
f) Legal problems. Apexi might not like others to clone their Pro CPUs. But then again they don't sell them anymore, so they won't lose any sales.
There might be an other change to replace the internal program, but I don't have an old style spare PFC, so I can't do any work here as of yet.
When I or someone else has solved the reading/writing problem with the old style CPUs than we can go on from there.

Just a few samples, please ignore the charts, I haven't updated it to match the enhanced grids because the chart control will entirely be replaced by a new one.

Hi all,
A friend of mine got Apexi Ecu (78F4046) and renesas unit (FP5) for RX7FD3S. We like to do few mods in the firmware. I am just wondering where or how can I get a firmware source code? Do you know what compiler or development environment is required for it?
Thanks,
Peter
