i just got my power fc, but i havent instlled it yet. i noticed in the manual it says it uses the exhaust gas warning light if a sensor is bad. i dont have an exhaust gas warning light (maybe because my car's a 94??) should I put one in?

 

Yes you do (unless some dim-bulb removed it) It's the one on the center console next to the foglight switch - It is supposed to light up just before the passenger carpet bursts into flames because your catalyst is overheating!

If you look on the center console there's an orange light and a red light...the orange is security, the red is exhaust overheat (just to the right of the ashtray).

yep, im missing both of those lights... does anybody have some extras?

 

Should the exhaust overheat warning light up when you remove the catalic convertor and put a mid pipe on with the same sensor
of the cat ?

what do you mean by "missing"

1) just holes in the center console
2) blank plugs in those locations
3) someone reconvigured the center console and replaced with something like the logicon controls

if 1 or 2, keep an eye out for parts cars. The two lights come as a single component.

 

there are blank plugs in the console... i always figured that 94 r2's didnt come with these lights, kinda like how cruise control has a plug on it. Can anybody with a r2 confirm that I should have these lights?
