PFC wire cutting

What happens if you dont cut the 3 or 4 wires for the PFC install.
Guys there really seems to be just to much confusing info on this topic. Also does it matter if I dont have air conditioning or an airpump? Thanks

If you take a look at my thread https://www.rx7club.com/vforums/show...threadid=31642
you'll see what those wires are for. As for the ac and airpump I don't think that'll affect anything. I'm not positive, but I heard that the PFC doesn't work if you don't cut those wires. Don't know why though considering what those wires are used for. Only 3 of them work on non-cali cars so....maybe you could just cut those three.

confusing?

I dont understand whats so confusing? I think I wld follow the directions before listening to anyone else. The only complaint I had is they shld of included the colors of each wire. But if you study/look at the diagram its really not too hard at all. Make the cuts approx 3" away from the connector to make life easier for ya if you ever need to resolder. Thats it!
One last tidbit, just check once then twice before cutting the wire. Be sure to have the right connector and count from the CORRECT corner goin in.

Gdluck!

I had my PFC programmed by XS engineering and asked about the wire cutting if it was necessary. They told me yes for my PFC to work properly refering to the wires as "emission stuff". I ran my PFC with both the wires uncut then cut. By my butt-o-meter I could not tell the difference but it did not hurt my performance either. I would follow the manufacture's instructions.
