I'm not sure if that's the software that Apex'i gives to shops or if that's the crappier program that they will sell to end users.

One of the problems with that versus the Datalogit is that there is no 0-5v input for a wideband, EGT, or anything else you may need.

I have downloaded it and installed it on my desktop computer (Windows 7). I am going to try and see if it will work with my Datalogit after I install it on my Windows XP laptop. I doubt it will though. I don't have a sample 13B-REW map to go through, only the three preloaded Nissan maps which I believe are L Jetro. So far I am seeing most of the same stuff as the Datalogit box. It is a mix of English and Japanese though so that's weird. And the manuals are in Japanese which means they are worthless. This is definitely the real deal though. It's the stuff Apex'i gives to shops, no doubt about it. I'm going to try and figure out if there are any additional settings in here or some other reason to use it over the Datalogit FC-Edit software.

I may try to get some shots comparing the Nissan stuff I have for the Datalogit with the preloaded Nissan maps for this FC Edit pro software.

EDIT: there are multiple versions of the software included in that zip file. The latest one, 6.30, is dated 2003. I can't get it to load any of the three 6.30 sample maps cleanly without garbled data. It may have to do with however the software was copied into this archive. Or it may be the fact that I am using Windows 7. The older versions seem to be worse, and have even more Japanese characters. The interface looks like that old game SimCity 2000 for windows 95. Talk about dated.

I'm working on translating the EXE with the most recent version of our 13B...

Not easy, but its coming along.. helps to have friends that speak Japanese

The translated version will be all integrated too, IE no overlays' It will be THE PROGRAM outputting the char's that I tell it to.

 

I just tried this on my Windows XP laptop... no real improvement.

This laptop must not have all the proper fonts because I can't even read the names of some of the sub folders. Some of the older versions of the software have 13BREW sample maps but I can't even see the folder names, on this Windows XP laptop they're garbled:

 

arghx, could you link the files somewhere?? I could finish the job that they have done, i think...

 

so changing the font in the FC Edit software to "system" 10pt did make the big 3D maps more readable, but the labels are still garbled in a lot of places. I am really not seeing any advantage to this software so far... all the maps are comparable to what's in the Datalogit software and they are not labeled any better. I haven't tried to get it work with my Datalogit box. The only thing I would like to see is whether some of the misunderstood or hidden parameters in the FC Edit logging (labeled with a ?) would be better in the Apex'i FC Pro software.

 

i think the main point is that we can do a tune with a 150$ adapter.

im also wondering whats going on with sensor setting here
last time i have changed the values for my bosch sensor was made in FC edit,
using proper scale and offset.

cant remember how does tendency looks now in fc pro.
will check this tomoro on my laptop connected to PFC.
