PLX SM OR LC1 INNOVATE with fc Dataloggit?

PLX SM OR LC1 INNOVATE with Dataloggit?

which one is best for a properly tune?

i'm searching for an easy install and reliable wideband kit

I'm interrested to buy the Plx SM afr unit since it don't need to be calibrate or recalibrate the o2 sensor and seems easier to install...

thanks for advices

Innovate is a good wideband, but it can be a real pain to set up and get working reliably. I think Chuck (cewrx7r1) uses the PLX, he seems to like it.

I have the PLX SM-AFR and really like it. I use the narrow band for the PFC the wide band for the Datalogit and the IMFD data link for the PLX DM200 display. Small module mounts behind the PFC.

PLX SM-AFR installed behind PFC and Datalogit

PLX Display, Boost, and Temperature modules installed under dash

the question was posed to me today... can a person just buy a wideband O2 sensor and hook it up via the datalogit without having to get the expensive mess that you'd get with the PLX device or any other AFR gauge? or does having the gauge setup give a more accurate realtime reading and the PFC won't keep up? just curious...

So long as you program any output properly and set the datalogit up properly as well, there's no reason any WB shouldn't work with the thing.

I use the Innovate and it works well.

To the OP...the PFC doesn't do anything other than log. So in terms of getting a proper tune, any should work just as well.

Any device (wide band O2, temperature, pressure, etc) will work with the Datalogit as long as it has a 0-5 VDC output. I understand linearity can be corrected in FC-Edit but I haven't done it. There appears to be a difference in the aux. inputs between the white and black Datalogit boxes with the black being the better for Aux inputs.

cewrx7r1, Arghx, and Dale Clark can elaborate further....
