PFC for boost?
I just got my PFC and am a little confused as to the boost functions on it. Do I need to buy the extra boost controller for it or will the boost functions that come with it allow me to do this?

Thnx for the link but I still dont think it answers the question on what the second set of boost numbers do....
Aside from that......I noticed Im not pulling the full .80. Is that normal? After a ride yesterday I checked the saved highest readings and the largest reading for boost was around .76.

Im sorry, I can be thick at times. What does that mean?
There are TWO sets of numbers. Is it safe to say the FIRST set is what Im running for my primary and secondary turbo boosts?
And if thats the case, is there a way to toggle between those two sets?
I dont know how much simpler I can ask this question.

Ok, this is a simple question with a simple answer. The Power FC allows you to have two boost settings, one for daily driving, one for drag strip, autox, road course, street race.
1. Pri This is your daily driving setting
Sec
2. Pri This is your "race" setting
Sec
To switch between the two, you go to boost under settings and highlight either
1. Pri
or
2. Pri
Then you go back to your other menus. Normally go back to monitor to make sure you're running everything okay, this should change your boost on the fly for you. Hope this helps you.

If you didnt want to wait for a response, you cld always break out a pencil/paper and start jotting numbers down for comparison....
Someone here suggested I do that a few weeks ago, print out the spread sheet/map and make it all blank or just write ur numbers above it.
Gdluck!

When you change your boost setting, your fuel map and ignition maps do NOT change. This is because you are only upping the boost number. Your fuel and ig maps are all based on negative pressure to 19.4 lbs of boost... When you up the boost, you just move to a different part of the maps. Try going to monitor > Map Tracer one time on the #1 boost setting and watch where the highlighted cells are. Then go to #2 boost setting and watch where the cells go. The second setting should lower your highlighted cell a row or two depending on what boost pressures you're actually running.

Yes it is defineteley OK to set primary and secondary to the same boost level. But do follow that link above for some advice on how to adjust the base duty % at the same time. My experience is that even when you adjust the Pri and Sec boost to be the same level - that the "base duty" numbers will be different.
There was another thread on why the primary number is higher and the reason that surfaced was that at low RPMs it is safer to run a bit more boost. This seems fine unless you are experiencing boost creep in high gears at low RPMs. In that case it may make sense to reduce the base duty more for the primary, and the boost target a little as well.
