PAC [on] = rough idle?

I noticed that every now and then my car BARELY idles and i see the PAC light on the menu ON. When it's off the car is fine.

What is this PAC thingggy do? I know what is stands for, but what does it do and why does it kill my idle?

port air control.

it i spart fo secondary air injection system. look in shop manual for details, I don't remember them, I know it is related to the air injection into the port rather than cat. I was looking at mine strangly enough this morning, and it was off at idle, then would turn on while driving.

I think many people are having a problem with thie PAC ..... there is a one-way valve in it that could go bad ..... mmmm let me kick the idea around in my head and see if that makes any sense.

Just pull all that **** out and get some block off plates from Carson (Spyfish007)

I did the turbo system simplification that listed on Rob's site and it works great. It get rid of over 50% of the rats nest and you can remove the rack(you basically remove everything that doesnt work with the seq system).

Redoing the turbo system along with Carsons block off plates would be a great idea and will fix any PAC problems you having.

Oh yea, this would only work for people with no air pump

Carson - You going to be around B'ham any time soon???

Later,
STEPHEN

Dimcorner,
Here is the link http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobinette/turbo_system_simplification.htm

Hope it helps ya, the job really isnt very hard. I'd say its much easier than replacing all the lines cause you just rip them all out except for a hand full. If you have any questions about it email me at SJWhite2000@aol.com

Later,
STEPHEN
