Power FC OMP question

OMP question
I recently eliminated my OMP, and through my work with BluEcu, I now have a spare 5v sensor slot. Does the OMP position sensor have any other effect on engine control besides driving the stepper motor?

If not, I think I might add a brake/steering sensor or something.

well it would cause limp mode on a stock ECU but on the Power FC it's just used for the OMP stepper motor control logic
