Hi,

although i read a lot about the pfcs here (also the manual how to install) i have a few questions left. Is the 16bit Power Fc for all Series 8 (99-02) Rx7 or are there differences?
Someone told me i should have a blackbox, what is this part and do i have it? My car is a 1999 fd.
Can i connect the PFC on the stock harness?

As long as PFC serial number is begining with PFC FD3S6, you should be OK.
It should plug right into stock harness.

Blackbox must be FC-Datalogit system they were talking about.


For reference available PFC models:

FD3S - 96-98 RX-7 old version
FD3S2 - 92-95 RX-7 old version
FD3S3 - 99+ RX-7 old version
FD3S4 - 92-95 RX-7 new version
FD3S5 - 96-98 RX-7 new version
FD3S6 - 99+ RX-7 new version

serial number is: PFC FD3S 9909 -0016

 

99 FD3S or S8 series models had three row sockets to ECU.
It's hard to tel from the pic but if connectors look like this you should be OK.
