Anyone have any experience with it? How hard is it on the turbo? I am doing it mainly for fun, and to scare the crap out of people.

i've been wantin to do it myself, but don't wanna mess anything up. as fas as i know, you just hook up a basic 2 wire switch to the appropriate spots on the datalogit. i'm just concerned about the amount of timing
i heard it's potetially bad to exhaust manifolds and has been known to kill turbine blades, but i'm sure that's after repeditive use

All I've experienced it is standing right next to Steve Kan's car in the shop when he spools up to 23 psi in about 2 seconds at 5500 rpms standing still.
It vibrates the ground almost as much as Harleys and sounds badass with the bridge he has in his car.

I have a Power FC in my FC3S and the new version of the unit has anti-lag and launch control... I don't know what to do.. I am afraid of damaging the turbo or the engine.. is it possible?

the only question i have about it is how boost is regulated? i can only gues that a type of pop off valve is used... i mean, you are igniting gass in the exh manifold, should be pretty hard for a WG to control.
...what is the PFC's launch control? i assume it's only available with the datalogit?

Here are the main differences based on what I've read at the Datalogit forum.
Max revs: limited by an ignition cut rather than a fuel cut.
Launch Control: F/C AE is used as a secondary ignition cut when the car is stationary. This apparently works in conjunction with the clutch switch or wheel speed sensor (can't remember which) to operate as a launch control system. When the car is stationary you can mash the throttle and the computer will bring the revs up to whatever point you select (say 7000) and then use the ignition cut to keep it there. When you let out the clutch the ignition cut shuts off giving you full power instantly.
Apparently, the chip is about $100 from Apexi Japan and can be swapped into the older version of the PFC without special tools. Installing the chip in the newer version of the PFC is more involved, but still possible. Someone at Datalogit was trying to organize a group buy for datalogit owners only a while back. Apexi was willing to send chips directly to owners of the older version or install the chips in house into the newer computers for around $120.

I have heard that it is really hard on rotary engines, being that are manifold's are so short. The exhaust tries to go bad it the exhaust port, causing extreme heat to the apex seals. Also a little of the exhaust makes it bad into the combustion cycle. I have seen a BP FC blow getting ready to lauch, the owner said it was the second time and he believe that the Pro start was the reason. He was using FCON V PRO.
