oil metering pump

Hey Guys,

I have been told that the Power FC also controls the oil metering pump so you do not need to run pre-mixed gas. Is this true? How is it done? Has anyone done this and with what results.

Thanks

The PFC is suppose to be a drop in replacement for the stock ECU. Therefore you do not have to do anything for oil injection. Thus everyone running a PFC with out premix, has been doing this. SOme over over a year now.

cewrx7r1,

So if I understand this right, it is not that there is a seperate control on the FC that one would use to "richen" the oil and therefore not have to pre-mix, but the pre-mixing was with other "piggy back" systems that does nothing for the oil injection? Therefore, with the PFC you just sit back and let it do what it needs to, and no oil injection parameters should or can be changed?

or am I all screwed up? (sorry but I am really new to tuning and the PFC)

thanks

The PFC will do everything the stock ECU did but 100 times better.

The only things that it will not do is:
1. AWS - accelerated warmup system - revs your engine to 3k when starting from cold. Thats a bad idea anyway.
2. EGR - no longer controls the EGR valve. Who cares, doesn't help or hurt performance, just for smog stuff anyway.

In my opinion, it is by far one of the best, cheapest, best, easiest to install, best thing that has come out for a 3rd gen RX7.
