New Owner of The Power FC!!!
They stop making this ecu so I had to get one before it was to late. Before I plug it in, anybody got any suggestions or tips before it goes it to my FD. It's used and I only have the manual for the Commander not the ecu itself. I'm goin to do search but i just want some straight up answers or links someone could put on here. thanks
damn it. I installed my pfc today and all bad. I searched on how to do it and did what people wrote on other threads. I cut the the 4 wires but I didn't mess with the ac wire. The idle was all bad after stepping the gas.I even installed the pfc when the engine was at operating temp and when the engine was cold, smoke came out the tail pipe(turbo's). Also is there any way to stop it from fast idle with the pfc. On the stock ecu i usually start in first gear and it wont rev as high but with pfc, it reved up to 3k even though i had in first.(If i don't put in first gear, **** loads of smoke comes out the tail pipe with the Stock ecu)

Did you do the idle learn process?? It idles really weird until you do that, and may even alittle bit afterwards until it totally figures stuff out.
After I pressed on the gas it would rev up and down 1500 then to 800 again and again then after that stay at 1100rpm. I let it run for 20min and my ac doesn't work so i couldn't turn it on for the 30 min test or learning process.
More Hell!! I did the learning process correctly this time and it still hunts. Could it be bad tps or a vacuum leak. I did the search and all i find is people with the same problem with the ending post saying do a search

Did you reinitialise (restore all data to factory default settings) the PFC? You said you got it used, so there's probably a map from the previous owner.
If you haven't already done so, do so.
Here's how:
Go to etc. option on the main menu. You'll see the following options:
Prog. Version
Sensor / SW check
Function Select
LCD/LED adjust
All Data Init.
Select "All Data Init."
Now choose [Yes]. Press [Next], then turn the car off and back on. Make sure that it's completely off. Give it a few sec. before starting it back up just to make sure. Then, go through the learning process discribed in the PowerFC_FAQ.pdf stickied in this fourm.
Another thing you might want to check is the Sensor/SW check. This will check the sensor's voltage, and show proper switch operations. The Malfunctioning sensor will be illuminated.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Noxlupus 4 the help, I actually found a usefull thread and it said to disable or disconnect the ISC and then like magic my idle is better than ever! Is there any draw backs. Would anything go wrong when the ISC is disconnected?
You didn't search enough. There is a lot of work required to get the car to idle right in all conditions with the ISC disconnected. My personal experience is that the PFC can take up to a week of driving around to fully settle down, especially if you are in a climate with varying temps (like NorCal).
The bouncing should be minimal if you get the idle set properly, which Chuck (cewrx7r1) has documented many times.

ISC idle control may require you to adjust the air adjusting screw on the throttle body to add or reduce idle air flow a little, and you may also need to fine tune idle fuel.
No ISC means you only have two idle speeds; full electrical and AC load (adjust to about 900) and no load which will be about 1100rpms. You again will have to adjust air and fuel, and now timing for optimum idle.
I sell tuning notes which goes over both of these and has my no ISC setup.
PM if interested.
