new map, help?

Hey Chuck,

I tried posting this on the yahoo group, but I couldnt find how to attatch files

As you may remember I own a 88 tII w/ Banzai adaptor and was having
numberous problems with getting it running correctly. So a month or two ago, I brought the car up too long island, NY to get it tuned by enzo
racing, but while on the dyno I ran into a problem in light boost where
one of my primary injectors were pissing everywhere. So he just tuned
it very conservativly up to boost and lower rpm's, but since then I
have fixed the leaking injector and am now driving the car around pig
rich at almost all times and feeling it not to be quite as smooth up
top as it is down low in the rpm range. so basically I was wondering if
you could take a look at my map and help me fix it up. I dont have any
logs of this map, but if needed I could make a few. Also, any other info that you need, let me know. I am srry to bother you and would greatly apperiate any help you could give me

Thank you,
James

That map has serious problems. The primary injectors are set up wrong, there is negative split all over the timing, and the base map is insanely lean

Primaries should be at 55% not 100%

try this

Just as a side note this map is running on a car here at the shop with a 13.0:1 afr 900 rpm idle and tuned to around 5 psi for engine break-in. Cruise, tip in and driveability are great on the car. It should not be too far off for your car, if it is then you have a different problem that is not tuning related.

I do not allow files to be loaded to the GROUP FILES but you should be able to send an attachment. Or direct mail to me.

ok chuck ill email as soon as I get a chance

Banzai I put your map in I would have to agree with you it is a little smoother to a certain extent, but I had a problems with it hesitating/farting in a bunch of spots under light throttle reponse was ok, also the car stalled whenever coming to a stop but would idle fine. i have none of these problems with the enzo map. under wot it did feel alot better. As for drivablity the map enzo gave me is great for just cruising around but id like to put my foot down alittle more w/o being worried. I wish my battery wasnt fucked up bc the laptop dies on me while logging. once I get that fixed ill put the wideband in again.
thanx

pretty sure misadjustment of the dashpot is causing the stalling while stopping, ill fix that tomorrow. i went thru banzais map and took his split and put i on enzos map it smoothed out a little. I got a couple of logs bc i installed all my programs to a new laptop still have to get me wideband software on it ill probly get that done in the morning and get some better info.

logs are too big to post here

thanks

so your pissing fuel out of your injector and enzo helps u out by gettin you home. so u fix the injector and u think the map is gunna be fine? he tunes it with no boost and all low rpms im sure.. then you say something about the injectors being maxed out.. well if u werent pissing fuel it wouldnt have been like that.. yea it will be running rich if your not pissing out fuel anymore.. but to say enzo tuned it bad your crazy.... 400bucks isnt bad for a tune.. and yea another tuner is gunna tell you bad things about other peoples maps cuz they want the work.. you have to realize that if your car wasnt fucked up... the tune would have been perfect.. and to come on here and talk bad about enzo... u should be talkin bad about whoever put ur injectors in.. ive been runnin 20psi on enzo tune making 490 for over a year now and im always racing my car whereever i go and i never had a problem.. its not "awful/dangerous" as chuck would say. anyways.. good luck
