Mazda and PFC

I recently had a major wreck and am unable to do much work on my car (leaning over the engine bay when I'm well is hard enough). Anyway, the car won't start, there's a noise under the manifold, so I decided I'd let Mazda give it a try. My question is when Mazda hooks up their Diagnostic equipment, will it read the Power FC properly? Thanks

Richard

Richard,

Unless you don't have a rotary mechanic that runs his own shop that you can trust, taking your car, modded as it is, will give Mazda techs fits. I wouldn't take it to them unless that's your only choice. As far as storing error codes, I don't know if the PFC does like the stock ecu.

It doesn't matter if they're diagnostic equipment works... give a Mazda dealership an RX7, especially 3rd gen, and they will find a way to screw it up
