I drive a 1996 Series 7 Type4 (all you American guys have Type1-3 cars) and it runs a 16bit computer. I have just stumbled apon a very cheap Power FC and commander for the Type4 (series7). One lucky thing for me is its a straight plug in harness adapter, but the item is used and needs to be reprogrammed for my car. My question is, does anyone out there have maps for the 16bit Power FC suited to Type4 cars? My only other option here (Japan) is to get it programmed on a dyno in a workshop which is frightfully expensive in Japan.

 

Your best bet is to re-initize via the commander.

You need to list the mods to your car.

All the PowerFC's are 16 bit.
