The base map on the PFC is a safe place to start from.
You need to understand:
(1) rotory tuning theory and how to do it
(2) what the PFC and DL can do
(3) have all the correct parts on the engine to safely be tuned to the desired boost level

i was told the base timing maps on the pfc were to advanced for a single turbo, i just want some safe timing maps so i can tune the afr and then drive it to a dyno (about 400km) to fine tune the timing, timing is something in a rota i dont fell safe playing around with!
thanks

check out the basemap library I posted above from BDC Motorsports.
As far as the PFC base timing calibration, well it's not bad except the trailing timing is on the aggressive side in some places. If you retard the trailing (increase split) by about 5 degrees from the P15-P20 rows then the timing would be safer.
