i have been running my PFC/Dataloggit for a number of years and all of
a sudden i am unable to log more than 1 to 8 seconds. it just locks. i
have tried varying the coverage, basic advanced etc to no avail. i
deleted a bunch of old logs just for kicks but that had no effect. my
computer has plenty of available space. i am not using the commander.
i am running V 1.090.

i am just shaking down a methanol injection system as well as a few
other things so i decided i didn't want to have to deal w the newest
Datalogit version should it have some initial bugs.

i sure would appreciate any help... i did a search and didn't come up
w anything in the archives.

Howard,

Did you check the connector on the PFC? Had issues with a bad connector a few years back. Sent you an email.

yes. thanx for the help tony. the connector is fine. i am switching laptops monday and datalogits tuesday. BTW, i do have one of the first PFCs but it has always run flawlessly.

should i upgrade from datalogit V1.090 or might that cause further problems?

Your problems seems more like a hardware/software of the laptop than the FC-Edit version. If you have the install zip and upgrade zip, try re-installing from scratch. If it still locks up, then it is your laptop.

I have never has your problem.

i loaded the newest Datalogit version today and am happy to report that it solved my problem. it appears, also, to have a base fuel/AFR automatic calculator so i might not need to use my Excel file to do the numbers...

remember back in the old days when we had to get a calculator out and do the math for all the cells?

I'm having a similar issue. My map watch is frozen at the P01 N01 position, it does read AFRs but it wont change map position. My map tracer does work on occasion and my monitor always puts out the right numbers its just a PITA to tune with just lines of code. I'm running 2.101 and I have yet to be accepted to the yahoo group. Would anyone have any insite to this problem?

 

The older software versions of the UNIVERSAL DL had problems and the current version is 2.113. It still can not do a DAT file comparison and who knows what other problems it still has. I only use the UNIVERSAL software to play with as I do not have it's hardware.

I have the older FD3S version which works PERFECTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
