Latest Guidance on AFRs
Guys,
Friend of mine just had his car tuned yesterday. Setup is PF IC, Intake, aftermarket DP, Resonated MP and PF exhaust. Stock WGs are ported with Efini twin turbos. Running 91 octane on Power FC. 14 psi boost with AFRs in the 11.5 to 11.8 range under boost. Knock remained under 30.
In years past when Steve Kan would tune here in Phoenix he always targeted 11.1 to 11.3. Just wondering if he was being VERY conservative, or if the range cited in my intro is more of the norm given things that we've learned over the past few years. Just curious.
