just some stupid question and some worries
i have a quick question that need some minor attention...
i'm having some high knock values on the high RPM vacuum region...
talking about 4000 to 6000 rpm... vacuum region below 0... it's not deceleration.. just holding at high rpm while driving on some low gear...
can i don't care it ? or it's just drive train noise ?

You can do an easy test.
Why haven't you found a point that does it, then reduce timing there by 5 or so degrees and see if the knock level changes? This is sooo easy to do. This way you can verify that it is NOISE.

okay, i haven't retard 5 to try.. keep forgetting that i should do that first...
now i have consistent knock around 60 plus when i decelerate.. from positive boost pressure and off throttle... the light flashes...
and around 3K RPM ... hold still the throttle... it flashes continously as well. until i either let go or throttle harder.....
i kept forgetting to try retarding it.. will try it today definitely....

oh yeah.. i tried using a hammer to whack the engine hook on idle... the knock value goes up to 20 only..... seems like there might be something fishy on my drive train or clutch that can lead up to 60 over on vacuum region.....

okay i retarded 5 out of the region of the map that gives me knock more than 60....
the knock still exist.... i still get around 60 over knock on that region... it's in vacuum around 3K to 4K rpm... and also deceleration...
i also tried like someone said... IGL IGT no split... that's worse.. gives me knock more than 100 on WOT.. and vacuum region more than 80..
i guess either i have a blardy noisy gearbox or something in the engine compartment is getting a little bit loose... and the frequency of vibration is causing the sensor to pick up as a knock...
i temporary increase the knock warning to 70... and the knock light doesn't come out so often anymore.. ahahahahh until i change a gear box or get some professional help to check if anything is loose in the engine bay...
