ignition cut rev limiter

i havent done much research, but as far as i know, the PFC has the stock-style fuel cut rev limiter. is there a way to switch this to ignition cut?

Not with the stock unit. In Japan the "PRO" Type of PowerFC comes with ignition cut as rev- limiter + lunch control.
You can do a simple rev-limiter with MSD AL ignition amp or similar device. for example: set the rev-limiter on MSD to 8k and 8250 on PowerFC. You will get a real ignition cut before the "fuel cut".

Buy three ignition cut boxes and wire into the ignitor circuits!

why not zero all the ignition values above the revlimiter

if the revlimiter 8200
set the ignition values to 0 at +8000 rpm

Using setting 3 map ref, remove one N column and add another above 8000.
Set the timing for the new 8000+ column to 0.
This is what you suggest.

Unfortunately, this will not cut the ignition but set the timing to TDC. All + values above 0 are advance. IGL can not be set lower than 0.
