Its for my S5 TII. the unit is FC spec not for FD. Mu buddy just said something about a FD boost sensor and boost solenoid. i got my unit straight from Apexi. Should the solenoid have come with my unit? Do I need both of these???

 

You will need the FD boost sensor and FD intake air temp sensor for the AP unit to function correctly. You will need to make adapter harnesses for them to mate to you harness. No they do not come with the S5 AP PFC, they are extra.

This is the reason we developed our FD PFC kit in the first place, not to mention the high price of the AP PFC.

 

hmmm... the PFC I got came with a harness but I'm assuming its not the one you mentioned for mating? Why would they sell a standalone that you need to buy more parts for???

 

Good question, ask Apexi. The AP Engineering S5 PFC was discontinued several years ago, so I do not know how you even got one from Apexi, must have been collecting dust sitting on a shelf somewhere. Sure it came with the yellow adapter harness that looks like out white one, this allows the engine harness to plug into it, you still need the other parts.
