Injectors

S5 Turbo II. Finally got everything worked out and getting ready to have the car tuned. Hoping for around 350 to the wheels. Street port, big intake and exhaust. T04b ptrim hybrid turbo. Curious about injectors.

Two primary considerations are all ID1000 injectors or ID725 primaries and ID2000 secondaries.

@ 55-60 psi base, 4 ID1k's will get you where you want to be and will save a bunch of money over the 2k's. Down the road if you need more switch to ID2k secondaries.

That's awfully high base pressure. That would give a pressure of ~70psi with 15psi of boost. I haven't seen anyone else running that high. As long as I can get a good idle with ID1000 primaries I would be interested in doing that.

For the realitively low hp you are looking for you can stick with stock 550 primaries and 1600 secondaries. If you are sold on the ID injectors then go ahead with the 725/2000 but it is way more fuel then you need. You could even use 550/2000, but there is no reason to run 1000cc primaries for only 350rwhp.

For example we run 630/1680 @ 40psi base pressure and produce 451rwhp @ 15 psi on our 13b-re Vert with plenty of IDC left over.

From my previous setup I already have ID725 and ID1000 but was pretty sure I needed more fuel than that. I would like to try sticking with the ID injectors for this one, so now I have the 725s or the 1000s for primary. Sounds like it will be easier to get my idle where I want it with the 725s. So is this the recommended path? 725 Primary and 2000 secondaries if I stick with ID? Then I can make some money back selling the ID1000 I guess.

Personally, I'd try the injectors you have first for the goals your looking for. Run a little more fuel pressure if you need to.
