I'm doing a little comparison PLEASE respond!!!
Hey guys, I'm doing a little comparison on air intake temps. Would you please take notice of your air intake temps during some nice strong highway runs under hard boost.
Or at least give me a round about avg temp that your car stays around on the interstate (a range is ok). I also need to know your intake and intercooler mods (brand name and model) if any. The approx outside temp will be needed as well.
Basically, I'm making my own intercooler and want to see how it compares to some of the others, including the stock IC. You might can benifit from this info as I'll be selling this IC to the public very shortly. If you want some info on my IC email me at SJWhite2000@aol.com
Thanks,

Blitz FMIC with custom ducting for radiator cooling.
MazdaSpeed replica hood for better heat extraction from IC and radiator
My last logging:
Outside air temps were about 97F (SW Houston area)
Cruise IC outlet air temp was 104F
After a 15.8 psi 4th gear boost run from 2500- 7000 rpm, IC outlet air temp was 109.4F.

M2 large SMIC, single turbo @ 13lbs logged, 15lbs gauge, IAT in the stock location
City street driving 39-43 is normal
Highway cruise 28-38
Road course track 53-62 after a 15 min session (lots of airflow, 5/8 mile straight, also lots of heat from the straight)
Go kart track 62-69 after a 15 min session (poor air flow, less than a 1/4 mile straight)
solo2 after a run usually in the 55-60, but waiting in the staging lane heat soak will be over 70 when i start the run

My temps after a 11-12lb pull is always right around 49-50C. Just cruising is right around there too. Thats on 98F days with alot of humidity. I have corksport intercooler but i think that its to small and i need to reroute my intercooler piping as i think that is causing alot of my problems. Just cruising down the highway my air temp will go down to about 47C but my water temps start to climb up around 93-95C. Ive been thinking of a v-mount because i dont like my AIT's that high. It pulls so much nicer with 30C temps. What are unreasonable temps for running boost? I see some guys running 70C AIT and that would scare me alot.
