Question idle revs up and down

Im just remove my stock ecu for the power fc . Car was running fine before, idle and revs was good . the power fc is used and has a tune in it, the car that it was in had the same mods then me (not same make but same parts) . I tried everything on this forums and across the internet : adjusting the idle, do the idle learning curve. cant seem to find the problem ?

Sartup rpm :2000 . drops down to 900 then bounce between 850 and 1200 . if i let the engine running after 10 mins of bouncing , the idle will drop to 850rpm and stay there until i hit the gaz then its start to bounce again

Any ideas ?

The PFC controls idle such that it is more efficient thus rpms increase more then the design can handle. That requires you to manually reduce air flow through the throttle body.

If the air pump is working and the stock narrow band O2 sensor is there, the PFC will control idle fuel correctly. If either are missing, you have to turn off O2 FeedBack Control.

Your PFC tuner is not so experienced with the RX7 version of the PFC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A wideband will help YOU but the pfc will do nothing with it automatically, and you will need a datalogit box in addition to the PFC to fully utilize it. If your car was running safely on the stock ECU then I would recommend re-initializing the pfc to the base mod map, and make any advised corrections to the ign timing and split if its the early version.

Where is that sensor and what exactly you cut off the coolant line or the sensor it self ?

The thermos isn't really a sensor it's a mechanical Device.

No idea. I have the exact same prob as you. I'll check my thermo wax and see if it's doing Anything weird

I think it's working, vta2 starts at ~1.5 until the car is warmed up, then drops to 1.04

Once the car is warm, however, my idle revs up and down. But the vta voltages don't change. Seems like if the thermo wax makes a measurable change in vta during warmup, if it was affecting the idle, I should see a vta change then too.

What are your vta numbers at warmup?

Want to mention that I have improved my problem with plain old tuning. Car was too rich at idle. And turning on ign Ctrl at idle and O2 feedback.
